Aug. 1999 - Aug. 2007Acted as Interim Manager Director in 2006, started as Financial and Administrative Manager Brazil in 1999 and promoted to Controller Latin America in 2001.
Head of Finance in Latam, reported to the President Latam and to the CFO-USA , CEO at headquarters in NY- , to the VP Legal & Tax, HR and Treasury all in NY. - In charge of the full finance and administration area in LA, managin a team of 14 people.
- During the period August/ November 2006, assumed the function of Managing Director LA, having assured that the main product would be kept , avoiding a lost of US$ 2.5 million in revenues, when obtained the support from Copersucar.
- Implemented and structured the entire ERP Microsiga and CRM ACT systems, having customized the processing of revenues in pavilion via web, performing them by events (link Office-pavilion- conference), thereby strengthening management information. The result was a reduction in operating times by 50%, increased customer satisfaction (on-line manual), with the balance sheet being converted in due time, allowing “daily” results assessments per each exhibition/event. This system became a case history for Microsiga- First one done in Brazil;
- Defined finance and administration strategies and assessed the market in Argentina during the crisis in 2001, having kept up the business operations in spite of the Peso devaluation. Avoided the ‘cash confiscation’ (corralito) and maintained US$ 1 million intact.
- Restructured the business format of the Argentinean unit (re-allocated assets, goodwill and brands), having obtained savings of US$ 1.3 million per year in taxes and US$ 350,000 per year in expenses, using the synergies of the Nielsen group;
- Responsible for all reports sent to headquarters in the US and in Holland in reais and in dollars USGAAP. - Structured and negotiated partnership contracts with institutions, obtaining support for longer periods and avoiding the entrance of competitors.Budget full process implemented.
