Fairview Health ServicesManager, Physician Contracting
Apr. 2014 - Feb. 2016Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul AreaManage over 750 contracts between Fairview Health Services and independent physicians and physician-owned groups to ensure contracts are market competitive, drive quality and patient experience, and in compliance with Stark, Anti-Kickback and Anti-Markup policies. Work with business owners and accountable leaders to provide market insights and guidance as operations teams are negotiating agreements with physicians and physician groups. Work with these groups to drive issues to closure and ensure that contracts are mutually beneficial to both parties. Developed processes and templates to facilitate the contracting process, resulting in a ~50% reduction in the amount of time required to complete contracts with external vendors, as well as reducing the variation in services and compensation programs across the system. Led efforts to implement the DocuSign electronic signature tool to Fairview's physician contracting department, greatly reducing the time and effort it takes to get contracts signed by all organizations, as well as reducing the risk to the system by having definitive proof that contracts were signed in compliance with regulatory requirements.
