IWCPPIndependent Business Consultant
Apr. 2014 - Sep. 2014Gold Coast, Queensland, AustraliaOver this period, I have been semi-retired, focusing on Web Development / Site hosting for various small clients both in Australia and Borneo, whilst providing intermittent support to Madagascar Oil. Recently I have started to develop interactive web applications using the Laravel framework with PHP and MySQL. The latest of which are CompScores.live and FitfastnFab.com # CompScores
CompScores is a multi-tenanted application which allows clients to manage their own competitions, events, athletes and the scoring of results. The development idea came from competing athletes complaining that the compilation of results in CrossFit Competitions took too long.
The application provides for online capture of results through judge’s mobile phones, with instantaneous updates and display of the same. The application has now been successfully tested at five competitions, in Australia and Indonesia. This is a self-funded project, with a view to marketing the product as a service. # FitFastnFab
In June 2015, I commenced work on the design and development of an interactive website for my client. This website was developed using Bootstrap 3, PHP and MySQL to provide an environment for her customers with a personalised homepage on which they can register their goals, excuses,
achievements, weights and measurements. In addition, the website provides weekly messages from the client, Homework tasks, Meal Plans (including recipes and shopping lists) and Exercise plans. The website includes a shopping basket and online payments. This is an ongoing project with further developments being implemented to allow for new products to be included.
