Work Background
Senior Technology Process Data Specialist
Standard Chartered BankSenior Technology Process Data Specialist
Apr. 2019 - May. 2023MalaysiaIn April 2019, I joined Global Business Services (GBS) Malaysia as Senior Technology Process Data Specialist, in the Technology Governance dept of GBS and Standard Chartered Bank. The role primarily focused on supporting the Technology and Infrastructure (T&I) processes to align the definition of Roles across the technology division of the Bank. In addition I was actively involved in developing the Glossary to be used within T&I, and ensuring definitions are of a certain standard, trying to avoid ambiguity. More recently, I have been involved in reviewing various aspects of the ServiceNow implementation, in particular the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ascertain the conformance to the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
Senior Manager, Data, Governance & Control
Standard Chartered BankSenior Manager, Data, Governance & Control
Nov. 2017 - Oct. 2018SingaporeIn November 2017, I joined Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore as Senior Manager, Data, Governance & Control. With data playing an ever-increasing role in planning and decision making, not only in the business but also Technology teams of the bank. This role focused on identifying data points which were either ill defined, ill interpreted, redundant or unstructured (free text) within the various Technology teams. It was soon evident that Roles and Role names were often badly defined, were titles or included organisational elements. This meant that every time organisational change occurred, technology processes needed to be re-written, and without any Standard definition, confusion often occurred. During this assignment, we developed a framework / standard for building and managing Role names across the Information Technology process universe. We used industry standards such as ITUP on which to build a standard set of Roles across the process universe.

Apr. 2014 - Sep. 2014Gold Coast, Queensland, AustraliaOver this period, I have been semi-retired, focusing on Web Development / Site hosting for various small clients both in Australia and Borneo, whilst providing intermittent support to Madagascar Oil. Recently I have started to develop interactive web applications using the Laravel framework with PHP and MySQL. The latest of which are CompScores.live and FitfastnFab.com # CompScores CompScores is a multi-tenanted application which allows clients to manage their own competitions, events, athletes and the scoring of results. The development idea came from competing athletes complaining that the compilation of results in CrossFit Competitions took too long. The application provides for online capture of results through judge’s mobile phones, with instantaneous updates and display of the same. The application has now been successfully tested at five competitions, in Australia and Indonesia. This is a self-funded project, with a view to marketing the product as a service. # FitFastnFab In June 2015, I commenced work on the design and development of an interactive website for my client. This website was developed using Bootstrap 3, PHP and MySQL to provide an environment for her customers with a personalised homepage on which they can register their goals, excuses, achievements, weights and measurements. In addition, the website provides weekly messages from the client, Homework tasks, Meal Plans (including recipes and shopping lists) and Exercise plans. The website includes a shopping basket and online payments. This is an ongoing project with further developments being implemented to allow for new products to be included.
