Mar. 2023 - Nov. 2024Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South AfricaThe purpose of this role includes, ‘solutioning’ for clients in the agricultural sector in the Humansdorp, Patensie, Hankey and Tsitsikamma areas thereby adding value to their businesses (within acceptable risk measures). Key responsibilities:
• Own the primary relationship with the client by being the clients main contact point for all business banking requirements, to ensure that the portfolio is serviced appropriately
• Secure new business and /sales by head hunting new business from current and prospective clients.
• Review and negotiate new pricing structures with clients, in line with the Absa pricing policy.
• Drive the growth of the business through cross sales, new clients
• Maintain overall ownership for servicing the client on operational matters by driving relevant internal support networks.
• Attend regular meetings & ad hoc meetings when required with new and target clients to monitor changing circumstances, client management plans and or opportunities.
• Use client feedback to enhance product/service offering and inform/avail new/enhanced services to the client
• Create and maintain an annual Client Management Plan, including input form product/sector specialists and credit analysts, driving a consistent marketing and sales approach, across the portfolios.
• Develop, manage and retain a portfolio of Business Banking clients by building strong and sustainable relationships
• Manage high risk customer accounts with the credit team by reviewing the client’s accounts regularly and assisting with liaison between credit and the client
• Take ultimate ownership of the portfolio's risk management by ensuring a good understanding of both the Bank's and the clients regulatory and compliance environments.
