Work Background
Publishing Director
Fortius Media Group, LLCPublishing Director
Mar. 2010Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, United StatesThe media world is in crisis. And the truth is, it will be in crisis for some years to come. The theme is, at least in my mind, that the world needs professional media more and more, and so whatever you do, communicate well. Write with facts, use good grammar and keep communications fun and varied. At RunBlogRun, we work daily with video, audio, and text. We write short pieces, long pieces and reach out via social media. We try to learn something new each and every day, and we would love to share those explorations with you! Publishers rep for The Shoe Addicts digital video, RunBlogRun.com, NCAA championship programs , partners of RunningNetwork.com, and now, as of November 2014, 35 of the finest specialty print and digital running publications in North America, Europe and Africa. Fortius Media Group was established in 2010 as a consultancy for media initiatives in global athletics, with offices in Wisconsin and California. In January of 2014, I began to work full time with Fortius Media Group. In 2014, we went from two partners, the Shoe Addicts and Runblogrun, to thirty five. We signed all but one member of Runningnetworks 22 members by February 2014. In August 2014 we closed on the purchase of Shooting Star Media and the RunningNetwork. Fortius media is a rep firm for our 35 digital and print partners. We also manage national, global and event content for our partners. Our belief is to work locally and learn globally. Our journey has just begun!

President
Running Network LLCPresident
Mar. 2004 - Dec. 2013Fort Atkinson, WisconsinAs President of the Running Network, LLC, I oversaw all national advertising sales for 34 regional and national specialty running publications in print and on the web, oversaw the sales of a national sales force, work with the CFO to insure ad sales are reported properly, reports sales to the publications' and oversaw ad production staff and web development and editor. I Developed ad strategies for national sales and national editorial projects and advertorial projects. The Running Network had 34 pubs from 2003-2009. In 2009, we focused our publishing group into core regional titles, core fitness titles and core national titles. We worked on insuring each title had a modern digital face, and began venturing into social media. In 2012, we currently have 23 print titles, 29 websites, social media sites and twitter channels. Media is changing daily, and our readers tell us more about themselves, and demand more quality content , whether it be video, digital, print, twitter, social media. I am still enjoying the pace and the challenges. As we look to the Olympics and the Olympic Trials in 2012, we have positioned strong websites, digital issues (continuing to grow), social media strategies that make sense for our continued growth. The funny thing is, our print continues to grow, which I believe, is due to our digital efforts. Our mobile apps are growing in leaps and bounds and our relationship with runblogrun has taught us how to venture into the live digital world. Currently, we are looking at more digital apps, and ways to make print more timeless but also giving our consumer the abiltity to find updates on stories, and communicate with our staffs in a time less manner. Over the next few years, I will be exploring global opportunities and also would love to do a seminar at a university on the changing media landscapes.
