Oversees all emergency logistical considerations, including the receipt and distribution of items from the Strategic National Stockpile; and serves as a project officer for complex cooperative agreements, grants, and contracts. Directs and oversees all PHP response activities and manages the duties of a professional staff, while ensuring coordination with all executive staff members. Prepares and implements the County’s Public Health Preparedness plan in coordinating with other health departments, law enforcement, first responders, service providers and participating agencies at the local, regional and state level to ensure Dallas County’s level of preparedness is efficient and optimal.
