Sep. 2014 - May. 2015Napa Preschool ProgramAssist to implement lesson plans by providing positive play-oriented learning experiences for children, providing redirection as appropriate, in or out of the classroom setting
Act as behavioral interventionist assisting children to eliminate or to modify challenging or disruptive behaviors caused by emotional stress, learning disabilities or medical conditions
Assists with organizing specific activities such as, but not limited to early literacy, math, art, and sensory activities, and individual and group play and games
Assists in preparing and modifying play-oriented curriculum to meet needs and challenge children
Give each child individual and special attention, and responds to each child’s particular needs and characteristics
Give extended individual attention to children with special mobility needs and cognitive abilities, talk to, comfort, and gives emotional support to children
Report signs of illness or distress observed in the children and assists in dealing with the situation, as appropriate
Administer medications or other medical procedures after receiving the necessary training and
authorization from a licensed healthcare professional
Perform care-related duties such as preparing meals, eating family-style with children, and facilitating toilet training and rest periods with the children
Assist in administering a desired results developmental profile and other informal tools
Assist with recording student information and completing classroom enrollment forms, menus, food preparation, and other related forms
Set up and arranges supplies and equipment used in the classroom or other environment for instruction and projects
Prepare teaching aids, labels, charts, bulletin boards and displays. Maintain charts and logs, develop and prepare forms, and prepare files and basic correspondence
Prepare and washes eating utensils, cleaning supplies, eating and work surfaces, restrooms, and other areas in a manner that satisfies sanitation and safety requirements
