Andriana Christopoulou is a dedicated veterinarian and the owner of Nosokomeio Zoon Athinwn, a leading animal hospital in Athens, founded in 1999, extended over 600m2 in the area of Pikermi. The hospital was the first Animal Hospital in Greece which at its time of inauguration ( back the managed by Dr Vet Christopoulos and several other partners) introduced the model of second opinion and specialties in private practice in Greece . She has studied both Physics / Nuclear + Radiation Physics on Postgraduate level ( UCL London) and Vetetinary Medicine ( Aristotle University in Thessaloniki) in Pg level. With over 15 years of experience in veterinary medicine, she has earned a reputation for her compassionate care and innovative treatment methods. She leaded the installation/ management and operation of the first MRI unit for pets in Greece ( in 2009) - using her background in Radiation Physics ( MSc) - while at the same time obtaining her Veterinary Medicine degree. She formed a number of collaborations with Vetetinary Specialists in the areas of Imaging and neurosurgery. While running the unit , performing scans and doing consultation on regular cases she specialised in Clinical Veterinary Neurology ( ESAVs / UniBern - Switcherland) and attended Emergency medicine courses ( ESAVs) and the PgCert in Surgery at Improve International, thus providing colsultation/ advanced imaging and clinical follow-up on Neuro-cases. . Andriana’s commitment to animal welfare extends beyond her practice, as she actively collaborates with local shelters - running Stray animals’s health programs in collaboration with several Municipalities across Attica , to improve the lives of stray animals. Her leadership at Nosokomeio Zoon Athinwn has transformed it into an acknowledged institution, known for its cutting-edge facilities and above the ordinary patient care.
