Jan. 2003 - Dec. 2010I was brought onboard to Abt Associates based on my public health, legal, and clinical background and tasked with propelling nationally funded community-based health and social services programs. As such I directed key projects and oversaw budgets, contract negotiations, compliance, deliverables, and client relations. I spearheaded data analysis, site visits, qualitative research, report writing, and committee management in order to adequately develop, monitor and evaluate a variety of programs. ➡️ SELECTED HIGHLIGHTS: ☑ Key contributor to Health Seminar on Racial & Ethnic Health Disparities, sponsored by W.K. Kellogg Foundation, with 300+ participants, including President Jimmy Carter and the late Gwen Ifill. ☑ Aided in the development of the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment Emerging Leaders Program. Drove growth from 34 to 320+ participants in 3 years and developed program policies and operation standards. ☑ Partnered with the University of Connecticut Health Partnerships Initiative to conduct quantitative and qualitative research to assess education pipeline of program preparing students of color for careers in science, medicine, and dentistry. ☑ Contributed to national evaluation and longitudinal studies, including one for children with serious emotional disturbances and their families, as well as aiding the multi-year evaluation of the National Healthy Start Program for the Health Services Research Administration (HRSA).
