I have over a decade experience in successfully implementing numerous health programs in resource limited settings. My strengths are in public health, health economics evaluation, capacity building and health system strengthening. My work has contributed to the reduction of disease prevalence and mortality rates in particular HIV, TB and Malaria. I have also led the development of innovative health policies and strategies, promoting health equity and sustainability. Of key note was leading the health economics evaluation of a Phase III clinical trial of a new treatment regimen against cryptococcal meningitis conducted in five low- and middle-income countries, the largest ever conducted. The findings of the trial culminated in a WHO guideline change that recommended the regimen as first line treatment in the treatment of cryptococcal meningitis. I hold a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Biotechnology from South Africa, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Botswana and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Public Health from the United Kingdom.
