Nov. 2013 - Dec. 2020New South Wales, Australia- Translation Accounts and Project Manager for All Graduates Interpreting and Translating - Creates and provides quotation for a number of local and international clients - Analyzes the file/files to be localized using SDL Trados 2021 - Does initial prepping of files: word doc, excel, ppt, editable and scanned PDFs, Microsoft visio document, IDML 4, html and xml files - Determines if the files are editable or scanned. Studies and analyses the client request if the files need to be wholly prepped for CAT tool or not - Uses Adobe DC Pro and Abby Fine Reader to perform OCR on scanned files to determine their editability in Trados - Coordinates with external DTP resource for the prepping of editable PDF with and without vector images In Design creation and update. - Does scheduling of work for translators, proofreader and DTP resource - Has a very open line of communication, supports and advises the team whenever there are issues on delivery schedule, project extension, file corruption and translation issue - Languages that are mostly handled are: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Turkish, Italian, Greek, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Pashto, Dari, Farsi, Urdu, Chaldean, Hindi, Sinhalese, Tamil, Bengali , Karen, Burmese, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam, Chin Hakka, Chin Tedim, Fijian Hindi etc. - Serves as first line of communication to clients whenever there are escalation issues regarding translation and content of translation - Has done subtitling projects for DEECD for Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese - Has done several projects for the Australian Federal Police, whereby translators or candidates are screened rigidly for their clearances, nationality, NAATI accreditation level and translation rates before endorsing them to a particular on-site project. - Regularly updates the approved quotations spreadsheet - Creates and prepares templates for existing and new clients’ project briefing documents
