May. 2011 - Aug. 2011My internship with WIFR-TV in Rockford was very hands-on which gave me the opportunity to learn skills that I had not learned in previous internships or in classes. Each day I accompanied reporters into the field gathering information for stories either through interviews or shooting images. A few times I was able to shoot my own video and perform the interview on my own. There were several instances where I was able to write copy for broadcast using INEWS as well as edit clips for broadcast using Avid Editing Systems. I was also responsible for running the prompter each evening and placing stories online using Clickability.
