Responsibilities: * Perform routine maintenance on relay systems to ensure optimal performance * Diagnose and repair relay system malfunctions * Install, test, and calibrate relay devices and associated equipment like Transformers, Breakers, capacitor and reactor banks. * Develop test plans, analyze data, and make recommendations for improvements to existing systems * Coordinate with other technicians and engineers to ensure that relay systems are integrated with other components of the power grid * Perform tests to verify proper operation of relay systems before and after maintenance procedures * Create and update documentation related to relay system maintenance and repair SCADA Technician: responsible for the maintenance and operation of all communication channels connected to Remote Terminal Units in substations, generating plants, and renewable energy sites. SCADA systems are used to automate processes and collect data, and monitor the data coming through remote devices. This ensures that the data continues to flow, which is critical in allowing System Operators to safely control the electric grid.
