I grew up dinghy racing in the UK. It's a sport people love to complicate but I learned how to assess actions and outcomes, simplify complex tasks, make pragmatic, timely decisions and adapt plans in environments that are constantly changing. Those skills enabled me to become 2 x world youth champion and a member of the RYA Olympic Development Squad. As a parent, I learned how to hustle, identifying opportunities and pitching to support businesses and add value on a flexible basis, at a time when employer expectations were more rigid than they are today. Engaging with small businesses to address gaps, improve process and manage niche projects, I gained experience across a range of industry sectors and collaborated with teams whose widely varied skills and specialisms meant there was always something to give and always something to learn. Today at Flexiguide, my "jack of all trades" experience, curious mind and penchant for creative problem solving are a great fit among a team who love to innovate and challenge what is possible every day.
