I am currently a PhD candidate, studying in the field of bio-organic chemistry at the University of the West Indies, Mona. My research involves a bit of natural product isolation, organic synthesis and microbial biotransformation and structure elucidations with advanced analytical techniques and instruments. I am currently employed at Environmental Solutions Limited where I am the Team Lead for the Chemistry Division. At ESL, I get the opportunity to hone my skills in leadership as well as in the environmental sciences. This provides me with the ideal opportunity to be a more rounded scientist, having expertise in both academia as well as in the industry.
