LOG607Co-founder and Technical Director
May. 2007 - Dec. 2011Veneto, ItalyI co-founded LOG607 with aim to create pervasive games. Our first project, WHAIWHAI, was launched in the fall 2007 and is a successful mix of story telling, city exploration and engaging game. Over 15,000 people discovered the hidden secrets of the most beautiful cities playing with WHAIWHAI. One of the key of the success of the game was the low technology barrier for the users. Playing is just as easy as buying the book and sending an sms. All the complexity is behind the scenes, in a sophisticated java server designed with a dialog manager at its core. The platform, that's always active and totally self-managed, has been used also in dozens of team building events.
In this project I worked on the original concept, on the game play, on the content and I leaded the creation of all the technologies involved. In 2008 we started working on Frammenti; a cross-media project that mixed a fiction with an Alternate Reality Game (ARG). After a year of work the fiction was launched in October 2009 and broadcasted in Italy by Current TV. Being a small team I had to work on various aspects of the project including the creation of the story, the design of the gameplay, the design of all the enigmas, the community management, the implementation of all the software and also a bit of acting. From 2010 I started working on digital publishing and mobile application. Among others we created an extended book for an important italian author, the official catalog of La Biennale di Venezia (both architecture and art) and an augmented reality game for kids.
