Head of Engineering, Client Solutions
AonHead of Engineering, Client Solutions
Dec. 2018 - Jul. 2023Spokane, WashingtonKey member in growing a startup in Aon's incubator from its inception to a 70-member technical team. Managed the development of pioneering intellectual property lending & risk transfer solutions and SaaS tools. Trained and mentored colleagues in software architecture and best practices. Below are a few key products my teams launched: Aon NFT Verification We built a SaaS tool that allows publishers of NFT collections to procure insurance for their NFTs and a digital certification that the publisher is the sole IP holder for the NFT assets. This helps increase the value of the NFTs as prospective buyers can see the vetting results & process, image similarity searches that we ran, etc, and can have confidence in the asset and the backing insurance. Trade Secret Registry We built a blockchain-based (Ethereum) SaaS application which allows users to register trade secrets in a secure manner – relying on blockchain immutability, we can then prove a person/corporation was in fact practicing a trade secret at a given time which gives them certain legal rights in the event someone patents the technique or methodology covered in the trade secret. Vendor Risk Management We built an insurtech platform that allows users to track partners who have contractual insurance requirements and verify their insurance coverage is valid. We also provided a seamless experience to place insurance policies for partners who needed additional coverage. IP Alpha I led a team of 6 engineers to build a SaaS product which helps companies understand their IP (intellectual property) posture, marketplace trends, and the value of their IP.
