Her work emphasizes translating complex scientific knowledge into accessible strategies, educational content, and community-focused initiatives that promote the social appropriation of science. With strong expertise in scientific writing, research management, and digital collaboration, Dr. Olaya contributes to building sustainable partnerships and advancing evidence-based solutions that bridge research, education, and real-world impact across diverse global settings. Dr. Olaya was awarded as a Fulbright Scholar for her research in the understanding of zoonotic infections in LMICs settings.
