Sep. 2021Massachusetts, United StatesReview, approve or modify heavy truck upfit sales packages for public works or public safety applications prior to the production process to ensure the correct materials are purchased and installed including but not limited to snow & ice control, plows, dump bodies, service bodies, cranes, PTOs, pumps, hydraulics and other realted equipment. Work closely with vendors & suppliers to ensure cost accurate, timely deliveries to ensure highest possible margins for the sold package. Cost estimate complex heavy truck upfits with reagrds to materials,labor and timeline then quote accordingly to customers or supply costing to account managers, Research latest technolgies & operational trends in the industry and assess how to best apply them to the upfits keeping cost and margins in mind. Work closely with account managers and customers to communicate suggestions, changes or potential issues prior to and during the manufacturing cycle. Understanding of municipal contracts, quoting, fund approval and municipal budget cycles. In the are of Business Development the main objective is to critically assess the current customer base, to ensure thier needs are being met and also qualify remaining market share or areas of growth.
