Deployed “Digitizing the bank” Project, handled external consultant (McKinsey & Company) on behalf of the bank.
“Digitizing the Bank” is one VPBank’s strategic project to transform the bank’s operating model for market leadership. On the basis of AGILE methodology, the project is aimed to (1) define the Bank’s target operating model, (2) launch customer’s digital products, (3) build capabilities of the VPBank team; as well as (4) set up a value assurance group. The project started in 2016 involved more than 60 staffs and consultants.
I joined the Project Management Office as a Product Owner for 4 digital products: Big Data to acquire new customers, Digital Cross-sell unsecured products, Digital Financial management system for Digital Unsecured Personal Loan and Digital Credit Card.
My responsibilities include:
- Oversight of: Market research, Diagnostic of product executive initiates, Prototype creation, Technology-design since zero base, Process mockup building, User acceptance creating and testing, Product launching and marketing. Hold accountability for each product’s achievement of Key performance index (KPI). Project management via JIRA.
- Closely corporate with designer team (to transform prototype into visualized design), IT team (to parallel develop products and testing), marketing team (to apply marketing campaign to products) with high pressure of timeline matching.
- Preparation of assessment reports/models: Profit and Loss analysis, Feasibility analysis, cost estimation, financial plans,... during product life cycle for all products.
- Relationship management with related departments/divisions for contract agreement, logistics, marketing campaigns, project portfolio management, risk mitigation measures and compliance check and so on.
- Provision of workshops to share training courses/lessons learned in project management, financial management to departments/staff.
