• Manage projects related to the start up and re-structuring of business units within Verizon. This includes compensation planning, staffing, employee communications and training and development
• Partner with leadership teams to create development and succession plans for high potential employees
• Partners with management on performance issues, creation of Performance Improvement Plans and Corrective Action.
• Implements policies and procedures to impact business results in compliance with Federal and State employment laws.
• Responsible for managing recognition, retention, diversity, union awareness, as well as developmental programs.
• Recruiting, selection and staffing for the retail management team. • Facilitate employee and management development courses
• Represent Verizon in legal proceedings, to include mediations and deposition hearings.
• Analyzes compensation issues in accordance with compensation policy guidelines and works with managers on compensation decisions for new hires, promotions, salary adjustments and retaining employees. Proactively addresses compensation and organizational inconsistencies.
• Training/Facilitating - Delivers a wide variety of HR-related training to managers and employees on topics including (but not limited to): new hire orientation, civil treatment, sexual harassment, performance improvement, employee management skills, compensation, benefits, interviewing skills, etc.
