Graduate from the Agricultural University of Athens (Food Science & Technology Dept.) and with postgraduate degrees in Food Technology (Quality Assurance – Reading University-UK) and Public Administration (National School of Public Administration). Working experience in both the private and public sector. Employed at R&D/QA Departments of Unilever Greece and from 2003 to 2013 employed at Hellenic Food Authority (EFET). From 2006-2010 as Head of Nutrition Policy and Research Directorate and from 2010 - 2013 as Head of Evaluation & Approvals Directorate responsible for official controls and legislation regarding food information to consumers (labelling, claims, etc.).
