Nov. 2019Januhairy is igniting a conversation to educate others on the prickly subject of body hair. Throughout the month of January, women are encouraged to ditch the razor and embrace their own bodies. Januhairy 2020 is partnering with Tree Sisters, a charity dedicated to protecting, restoring, and funding reforestation. Over the last few months I have provided insight on scaling this body positivity campaign across different medias, with a focus on engaging with collaborative brands and influencers. My creative input will additionally take form in a photoshoot in partnership with a sustainably-sourced underwear brand designed to celebrate all women and their bodies. I am grateful to be working alongside such a powerful campaign, and contributing to breaking this societal stigma.

My work as social media manager amassed a 53% organic growth on Instagram over a 2 year period and averaged engagement of 4.69% for women aged 18-35, with marketing campaigns to an audience of 3.7million. Nuw has strong relationships with industry thought-leaders which we have partnered with through influencer collaborations and brand partnerships resulting in an average 290% increase in daily app activity. I was proud to single-handedly host two successful clothes swapping events at Manchester's Future Fashion Fair in collaboration with Slow Fashion Movement, and to have presented at Sustainable Fashion Week's panel discussion in Bristol on The Changing Face of Fashion in partnership with University of Bristol and University of West England.

Sep. 2017 - Feb. 2019I was selected by Botanics UK, the Boots skincare brand, to act as a brand ambassador and promote their social campaign for the relaunch of their brand as ‘The Plant One’. This role requires me to frequently update my social media feed to promote their plant-based beauty and skincare products, using Instagram analytics to manage my feed and upload at peak times for high engagement. This opportunity has enabled me to develop my marketing and social media management skills, and strengthened my ability to work autonomously.

The only specialist distance learning university to launch in the UK in the last 50 years, Arden provides access to flexible online education through modern learning platforms, which I have been lucky to help provide. My role in module development followed the journey from module editorial work to the maintenance of online material, coordinating the development, publication, and maintenance of high quality online resources that underpin Arden's online and blended learning courses. In addition to project leading in the student induction process, I oversaw and update the university's library resources and ebook data analysis.

Leeds University UnionTreasurer (2016/17) of LUU Modern Dance Society

Sep. 2016 - Jun. 2017Leeds, United KingdomI was a member of the award-winning Leeds Univeristy Union Modern Dance Society for four years, and was grateful to be elected as Treasurer in my final year. Specialising in tap, contemporary, and jazz, Modern Dance is still the largest dance society at the University of Leeds. Dancers are trained to an advanced level with professional outside teachers, and travel to national university competitions around the country. My role as Treasurer was varied, and allowed me to take on much more than the financial aspects of the society. Working alongside companies both internal and external to the univeristy, I contributed to the management of merchandise and organisational aspects of our inter-university competitions. I additionally took part in committee-wide duties such as PR and correspondence with dance teachers, where I greatly enjoyed the comradery of working in a team with shared passions. Dance greatly enhanced my time at university, and to work so closely with the society in my final year truly made my experience all the more memorable.

Among these were account management, website editing, and report work, all responsibilities which I handled effectively and to a high standard. I feel my time at TCS has improved upon my editorial and time management skills, whilst simultaneously allowing me to work both independently and in a team.
