As region head, I spearheaded sales and managed operations and their place within the regional P&L. Key business lines included managed hosting, security services, content delivery, storage solutions, and applications management. The Hong Kong-based team comprised 30 people in sales, marketing, bid management, business development, data centre operations, and administration. - Took Asia from lowest to highest performing sales office per head of sales in just over one quarter. Average new contract value per sales head doubled to US $600,000. Customers included Cisco, MTV Asia, Microsoft, and E-Trade. - Simultaneously slashed costs by merging C&W telecoms nodes into the Digital Island data centre. - Successfully oversaw the local merger of Digital Island’s Asia operations into Cable & Wireless Asia.
