Assist CAO and Direct with implementation and adherence to policies and procedures relating to research administration. Design, develop and execute reporting and retention systems across all 18 sub-divisions. Audit financial analysts and specialists on policy, cost accounting, effort reporting, and financial reporting. Assess individual workload to determine efficient delegation of responsibility. Assess needs for training in fund management and research administration. Implement the departmental voluntary Mentor Program for fund managers. Coordinate floater-analyst team to assist division is periods of overturn. Supervise the training and development of all new fund managers in the Department. In conjunction with the Director, meet annually with all divisional fund managers for career enhancement meetings. Directly responsible for maintaining MM portfolio including Federal grants, private agency funds, endowments and gifts.
