I get the best out of organizations by helping individuals and their processes work together. My best work is accomplished by looking at how well the function could be performing with benchmarking, then setting priorities for improvement and making the sometimes difficult decisions regarding change. Economics, analysis, comparative advantage, clean data, and organizational experience and insights guide my decisions. An organization can optimize its effectiveness by taking advantage of capabilities within its reach - collaboration, opportunity generation, teamwork, information sharing - these pillars become the keys to success. It has been my experience that Ronald Coase (nobel laureate in Economics) was accurate regarding his Theory of the Firm. We can accomplish more than we imagined when we are truly working together.

Sep. 2004 - Mar. 2010Research Triangle Park, NCDeveloped and delivered enterprise business strategy by using Business Architecture methods to develop, specify, and relate business strategy with the information and the processes stakeholders need to execute. This work involves close interaction with a broad range of customers to understand their vision and business processes but also identify what information they require to make informed decisions. Results supported the strategy and implementation of a new QlikView-based Business Intelligence platform, Advanced Analytics platform, and new capabilities to leverage the organization’s data warehouse. This work provided an enterprise-view of information availability, information gaps, and process improvement opportunities that drive prioritization for both meeting business goals as well as defining information and technology planning. Undertook product / vendor analysis, negotiation, and implementation. Also led the organization’s Architecture Council, ensured adherence to IT standards and procedures.
