Mar. 2018 - Mar. 2023Sri Lanka• Strategic International Relations: Develop and execute the CAASL’s international relations strategy, focusing on enhancing collaboration with global aviation bodies (e.g., ICAO, IATA), foreign civil aviation authorities, and other relevant entities. • Policy and Agreement Development: Lead the formulation and negotiation of international aviation policies, agreements, and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), ensuring they meet both national and international standards. • Diplomatic Representation: Represent the Civil Aviation Authority at international forums, conferences, and meetings to promote Sri Lanka’s aviation interests and maintain a strong international presence. • Bilateral and Multilateral Coordination: Manage bilateral and multilateral partnerships, ensuring active participation in global aviation initiatives and effective coordination with aviation bodies across the world. • Regulatory Compliance and Monitoring: Ensure that Sri Lanka adheres to international civil aviation treaties and agreements, while monitoring changes in global regulations and advising senior leadership on compliance and necessary policy adjustments. • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with international aviation stakeholders, including government agencies, airlines, and international aviation regulatory bodies. • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of international relations professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving strategic objectives. • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports, policy briefs, and recommendations on international aviation developments and trends, ensuring informed decision-making by the leadership team.
