Bitcentral delivers innovative software solutions that help media companies produce, distribute, and stream stories efficiently and effortlessly. For the past 12 years I have developed a mutually beneficial relationship between Bitcentral and their highest revenue account, CNN. As their dedicated TAM, I've worked directly with CNN Newsource and their more than 1200 domestic and international affiliate TV stations. When I stepped into the role, CNN told Bitcentral that the only reason they were going to renew their 5-year contract was because they were the only player in the space. Ten years later, I signed them to their 3rd contract after they told their new owners, Discovery, that Bitcentral was the only vendor that was untouchable during sweeping cost cuts. My proudest achievements were the migration of 90% of their onprem workflow (then more than 40 servers and two remote datacenters) into AWS. More recently, we transitioned them to from their CNN Center location to the new Techwood campus. Both projects were handled with minimal issues; quite a challenge for a 24/7 workflow.
