• Cisco based LAN and WAN administration across 7 remote site locations, including Firewall, VPN, and Wireless support.
• Linux Server Deployment and Support for Nagios Network Analyzer. • Windows 2003 and 2008 Server Support including Microsoft Services (Active Directory, DFS, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, etc.), Microsoft Exchange 2003 and 2007, VMWare with blade server solution, and servers for Education Software. • Operated as a lead PC support specialist for district office users, and secondary support for remote onsite engineers. • Supported all Point of Sale systems as the SME and primary point of contact for systems issues. Key Accomplishments and Contributions
• Completed network hardware refresh project replacing approximately 120 switches, 6 Routers, ASA Firewall and VPN concentrator. Overall network functionality, security, stability, and connectivity downtime improved over old hardware. • Executed project to replace aging Point of Sale Systems with newer hardware that also reduced costs by approximately $1000 per system using standard PC hardware. System downtime and maintenance costs also reduced significantly.
• Assisted in completion PC refresh project of approximately 2500 systems which replaced aging systems out of warranty, and improved productivity for administrative staff, students, and teachers.
• Migrated several key servers to VMWare using a blade server solution lowering standalone server operational costs.
