He has long experience in managing R&D+I teams in the areas of Electricity Generation, Transmission and Distribution Equipment Technology, LPNE Technology – High Natural Power Lines, Renewable Sources, Energy Efficiency and Materials for Eletrobras and its companies Chesf, Eletronorte, Eletrosul and Furnas, for the MME, MCT, EPE, ONS, ANEEL, Petrobrás, Energy Distribution companies and electrical equipment manufacturers.
For more than 35 years, it has worked in the training of professionals through the assisted training of interns and master's and doctorate scholarship holders.
She began her work at Cepel as a researcher in the research group on Direct Current transmission systems. Participated at ABB-Sweden in studies of the Itaipu direct current transmission project. He also participated in studies for the transmission of energy in the Amazon, initially within the scope of the Amazon Transmission Planning Commission (CPTA), coordinated by Eletrobras, and later with the working groups coordinated by EPE, the Energy Research Company.
In the period 2000-2004, he coordinated the ONS/Eletrobras/Cepel Mixed Commission for Assessment of the N/NE Interconnected System regarding contingencies that could result in the risk of blackouts in the Electric System.
More recently, he worked on projects to implement new laboratories such as the External Ultra High Voltage Laboratory and the Smart Grids Laboratory, intelligent networks, at Cepel.
She is the author and co-author of several national and international technical articles with an emphasis on the areas of Electrical Energy Transmission, Simulation of AC/DC Power Systems and Electromagnetic Transients.
