Aug. 2018 - Mar. 2021Syracuse, New York Area• Manage 6 programs, 18 direct team members, 50+ volunteers, and daily operations at RISE, non-profit organization serving refugees and immigrants in the Syracuse, NY area, promoting self-sufficiency through educational programming, employment, and social support
• Seamlessly interact with, support, and supervise the four RISE department heads on program development, data integrity, client satisfaction, and program evaluation
• Responsible for RISE’s HR policies and fostering workplace culture to be inclusive for refugee & New Americans
• Provide cultural competency and diversity and inclusion training to local organizations and community partners
• Valuable player in strategic growth strategy implementation from 2017-2019, increasing RISE's operating budget from $775,000 to $2M
• Responsible for internal grants management of over $2 million in diversified federal grant funding per year
• Secured private contract with regional hospital network, allowing RISE to provide vital health services to the refugee community, and ensures a unrestricted income stream of over $480K per year
• Planned and executed fundraising events and campaigns raising up to $40K per event
• Oversee RISE financials, including accounts management, invoicing, reporting, payroll, and budgeting
• Work closely with RISE Board of Directors, presenting monthly program and financial reports, and participate in board development
