Jan. 2015 - Sep. 2015Cape Town Area, South AfricaAfter the conclusion of Project Smartt at Vodacom Lombard was requested to perform a Program Management role in the Service Management department. This role involved the overall management of all Service Management projects, contract management and leadership support for the Service Management department Responsibilities for the delivery of the Service Management Program involved but not limited to: • Managing the pre-project feasibility and project initiation of various strategic project initiatives (business cases, project approach and objectives, executive engagement to settle project acceptance and support for budget approval)
• Secure understanding & agreement of project objectives, roadmap and project budget
• Overall delivery & reporting of program and project execution (ensuring adherence to relevant project governance framework & activities)
• Maintain relationships with key client and project stakeholders (established an internal network and leveraged strong relationships to facilitate buy-in, understanding & delivery of project objectives across the Vodacom landscape)
• Provide support and leadership to project management team members
• Engage and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to finalize and document business cases and Project Definition Documents for new projects.
• Ensure contracts are in place with vendors and conduct contract and pricing negotiations.
• Leadership support, based on past industry roles and experience establish himself as additional managerial go to person to provide guidance and support for Service Management team members.
