Basically end to end setups are build in the laboratory (BSs , MSs , multiple application servers, phones , etc.) and tests are done regarding certain features but with implication in all the system; another part is the implementation of new features with the help of SW department. The testing part includes : AAA protocol (AAA servers used : Alepo , Free Radius , Radiator) , Scanning module , NE entry process , Ranging procedure , Bootloader , Firmware upgrade/downgrade procedure , TR069 for CPEs’ management , DHCP clients ( with various options : 43 , 60 , 66 ) , Communication of the BS with the External ASN-GW, ATPC. It includes also working with hardware components : replacing certain components on the digital hardware, testing network features with using packets generator ( Smartbits , IxChariot , iperf ) and packets sniffers ( Wireshark at wire level and SanJole at radio level). We also use for radio measurements laboratory equipments as spectrum analyzer,oscilloscope, network analyzer , VSA , etc. When our work as a team is done for a certain release everything in there needs to work fine and this makes us cover all kind of tests that implies a full telecom system.
