I ensured that all advice and decisions were aligned with local employment legislation, company policies, and best practices. I was responsible for end-to-end case management, including investigations, hearings, documentation, and resolution tracking, ensuring timely and compliant execution. A key part of my role involved coaching and mentoring line managers to build confidence and capability in handling ER matters. I identified training needs and delivered targeted learning interventions to strengthen ER knowledge across the business. I also played a central role in supporting organisational change initiatives, including restructures, consultations, and redundancies, ensuring compliance and employee engagement throughout. I was responsible for maintaining and updating People Team policies and procedures in line with evolving legislation, and I conducted impact assessments to advise the business on legal and regulatory changes. Additionally, I represented the company in external forums such as the CCMA, ensuring professional and compliant handling of disputes and maintaining the organisation’s reputation and legal standing.
