It also provides additional services like technical documentation and results reports.
The team is distributed in different geographies including Canada, Brazil, Poland, India, Malaysia and China.
As the global head of this department my main responsibilities are:
- develop strategic measures to ensure that the company has the ability to measure productivity and efficiencies.
- establish an engineering excellence program that drives standards and adoption of the standards within the 10,000+ employees in all geographies. work with industry partners to assess, select and deploy tools that drive efficiencies within the GLT.
- be an active member of the company executive committee to drive and influence change at the senior leadership team.
- provision of support to all IT delivery teams related to process and technology standards and tooling.
- drive GLT organisation to implement quality improvement programs resulting in industry standards certificates like CMMi, ITIL, etc.
- institute global platforms, promote technology sharing and leverage operating environments to achieve greater cost efficiency.
- provide senior executives with directional trends and technological positioning of the company relative to the mission and industry.
- cultivate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the company brand.
- ensure compliance with all regulatory needs in each operational geography.
As the head of this department I was responsible to implement a two-years quality improvement program that resulted in all centers being certified at CMMI Level 3, reduction or early detection of defects (today 65% of defects are detected at review stage - before it was around 30%) and increased productivity.
