By learning how to interpret LiDAR spatial interpretation, we are going to measure erosion during this high sea level period, which will theoretically predict the effects of erosion later this century. With NOAA funding, we are going to help give an idea on how the coast is going have to be adaptively managed over the next century.

Marin County is recognized as highly susceptible to substantial losses over the next century because of climate change and sea level rise, so there's a lot to be learned in regards to the delicate relationship between the land, the people, and how to mitigate the many problems that arise due to climate change.
