May. 2013 - Jul. 2017Cincinnati Area, KYGo Red For Women was created a little over 10 years ago by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. It's main purpose is to raise awareness and funds in order fight the #1 killer of women in the United States - heart disease. As the Go Red For Women Director I manage an executive leadership team of 25 volunteers - female (and sometimes male) CEO's and executives from all over Greater Cincinnati. In 2014 the Cincinnati Go Red For Women campaign raised $850,000 and in 2016 we raised over $1.4M. Through corporate sponsorship, grassroots fundraising and individual giving, the Cincinnati Go Red For Women campaign is the top Go Red Luncheon in the country. We spend the entire year fundraising, educating and empowering women to take charge of their own heart health and that of their family. We celebrate in May at the annual Go Red For Women Luncheon. I manage a C-Suite Chair and over 125 volunteers, including executives, community leaders and a board of emerging leaders. I also steward, cultivate and retain over 75% of campaign sponsors and individual donors each year.
