I did this through building relationships in an arena (Ag) where trust is everything. Being a start-up, I sold into a greenfield territory and overcame initial slow adoption from the market. I thrived in the entrepreneurial environment, where every day was different and I succeeded in identifying and securing new opportunities. I educated growers and strategic partners about our cloud-based software platform and the value provided. The technology is a solution that addresses a common challenge to growers everywhere - how to build a profitable marketing strategy, leveraging the resources available to them. I took the technology to Ag universities to be implemented in the classroom as an educational tool, and long term lead generator, for students. I taught classes at Ag universities such as Univ of IL, Iowa State, Ohio State, Purdue and more. In addition to individual growers, I developed strategic partnerships with ag lenders, crop insurance companies and agents, COOPs, as well as Ag universities and Extension offices. I conducted presentations to rooms filled with 50-100 people, and one-on-one presentations as well. My responsibilities also included building AgYield's brand awareness through strategic partnerships and individual farmer relationships, presentations, marketing pieces, eNewsletters, etc. I also managed the CRM system to track new business flow and prospects.
