SpenDebt’s application delivers small, micropayments (ex. $1.00) allowing consumers the ability to spend-and-payoff debt. SpenDebt offers a SaaS micropayment solution for account receivable teams recovering payments from their customers, including arrearages, by leveraging their customers’ spending behaviors. • Established SpenDebt as a third-party payment provider and micropayments as a new payment method (not round-ups), earning a big bank support for business operations and payment processing.
• Designed the micropayment solution product lifecycle and roadmaps, helping consumers pay off debt every time they swipe their debit card or have a banking transaction, improving consumers’ financial health.
• Formed and led a global cross-functional team from executives to developers, managed agile sprints for updates, delivering four full brand improvements, and released three major app updates.
• Implemented customer feedback loops, maintaining customer churn rate below 3% by ensuring customer inquiries are addressed within 24 hours. This led to new feature development, enhanced UI/UX, and increased lifetime value to over 20 months.
• Created a go-to-market strategy and B2B payment method for small and large accounts receivable teams, aiding daily payment recovery, including co-branded and API integration solutions.
• Propelled SpenDebt as an emerging fintech company, securing support from Capital One, Mastercard, Visa, Microsoft, Northwestern Mutual, and other early supporters. Won first place in Microsoft’s Global Hack for positive Impact Executive Challenge out of 1174 companies across 70 countries.
