I’m an external consultant with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Informatics (DIGIT), where I architect and deliver cloud-native solutions that power mission-critical API applications. Every day, I: • Manage AWS environments—from VPC and IAM policies to EKS clusters—ensuring our infrastructure is secure, scalable, and cost-efficient. • Kubernetes platforms that host microservices at scale, leveraging Helm charts to automate rollouts and simplify operations. • Infrastructure as Code in Terraform, modularising our footprints so teams can spin up repeatable environments in minutes. • CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins/Argocd, production deployments, security checks, policy checks, and zero-downtime rollbacks. I work with the development team on API deployment and performance tuning, leveraging cutting-edge tools like HashiCorp Vault for secure secrets management and Apache Cassandra for highly available, scalable data storage. By integrating Vault into our CI/CD pipelines and fine-tuning Cassandra clusters for low-latency reads and writes, I ensure our APIS are easy to deploy via Argocd and strong in reliability, security, and performance. I’m driven by a passion for continuous improvement, constantly refining processes and automating workflows to ensure our infrastructure is fully repeatable, reliable, and efficient.
