Beaumanx ProductionsFilm Director
Apr. 2015 - May. 20173 WheelingAs the Director at Beaumanx Productions, I spearheaded the creation of the feature-length docu-reality movie "3 Wheeling," which highlights the sidecar champions at the world's most dangerous race. My role encompassed the entire production process, from pre-production to distribution. In pre-production, I collaborated with the Isle of Man TT for branding alignment and secured a significant waiver on footage licensing costs. I successfully attached high-profile racing legends and world champions to the project, enhancing its credibility and commercial appeal. Additionally, I was responsible for assembling a skilled production team and securing all necessary equipment and permits. During production, I directed a large team of over thirty crew members and contributors, managing three simultaneous units over a 16-day shoot. Despite budget limitations, I implemented a flexible multi-cam setup, adapting to various filming conditions and ensuring a comprehensive portrayal of the events. Each day, I reviewed rushes to refine the production schedule and maintain narrative coherence. In post-production, I created a beat sheet to guide editing, organized additional filming for narrative gaps, and ensured the integration of these pick-ups with existing footage. Collaborating with En-Core Sound, a BAFTA-winning post-production house, I provided creative direction and integrated licensed footage and music, including authentic radio commentary from Manx Radio TT. For distribution, I arranged private screenings of the rough cut for stakeholders and potential buyers, which played a pivotal role in discussing and securing distribution opportunities. The movie was theatrically released, achieving over 150 commercial screenings in British, German, and Austrian cinemas. It also gained a substantial online following, amassing over 1.5million fans on facebook.
