Throughout the project, my primary responsibilities were focused on the following areas: - Design Integrity and Quality Control Oversight: Ensuring the golf course operations adhered strictly to the Pete Dye design specifications, particularly concerning key features like railroad tie bulkheads, bunker shaping (especially pot bunkers), and the complex contours of the greens and tees. - Local Logistics, Vendor, and Labor Management: Acting as the primary liaison between the Head Project Manager and local Guatemalan subcontractors, labor teams, and material suppliers, ensuring compliance with local labor and environmental regulations. - Budget Tracking and Progress Reporting: Maintaining detailed daily logs of construction activity, tracking expenses against the budget for labor, materials, and heavy equipment usage in order to compile and present accurate progress reports to the main stakeholders.
