The practice specialises in assisting children with Sensory Integration Difficulties and their parents to improve their quality of life and facilitate optimal development for these very unique children. We also assist adults whose lives are negatively influenced by unresolved sensory issues to live more productive lives. Carina moved from Pretoria to Cape Town in 2021 and will now focus on the following services: Sensory coaching and lifestyle adaptation - parents, teenager and adults who live with sensory integration challenges Interactive Metronome Brain Training: Selected individuals over the lifespan (babies to adults) Research has shown IM( Interactive Metronome) can improve and/maintain functioning in clients with the following challenges: ADHD ASD Sensory regulation difficulties Sensory processing difficulties i.e. bilateral integration and motor planning. We also launched a pilot project with 6 top Blue Bulls players, using Interactive Metronome Training to improve performance i.t.o. focus, reaction time and integration of hand feet integration in 2014. The project's most exciting outcome was improved statistics during games. Carina Taylor is also involved in the training of occupational therapists post-graduate through the South African Institute for Sensory Integration. She also presents courses regarding sensory self-regulation and parenting the sensory sensitive child.
