Jan. 2006 - Feb. 2015Part of the highly dynamic and full voluntary organizing committee that is responsible for the annual International Singapore 7s, Asia's oldest 7 a side Rugby Tournament targeted at elite development teams and semi professional clubs.This tournament is recognised by World Rugby and the Asian Rugby Union as one of the premier tournaments in the world and is sanctioned by the Singapore Rugby Union. Portfolios currently held within the committee are : Schools and Colleges Tournament Director, Media,Publicity and Broadcast head, Sponsorship management and Vice Chairman in 2014. Was responsible for the planning and execution of the event's broadcasting strategy from 2010, and included working with production houses, media houses and distributors to bring the 7s highlights package to Australia, New Zealand and the wider Asia market. 2011 - 2012 saw the 7s finals broadcast live locally in Singapore and around the region. Sky TV in New Zealand also carried the live broadcast and this partnership was done with WSG and Sport Singapore. Assisted in the organization and execution of the tournament's Team Liaison Officer Team made out of volunteers from the wider community. The inaugural batch of TLOs were drawn exclusively from trainee teachers from the National Institute of Education's Physical Education programme in 2010. Since then, the TLO Team has expanded to other volunteers outside the sport of rugby into the wider community. The TLO volunteer programme included training and briefing the TLOs to handle a variety of basic to intermediate issues associated with semi professional and professional sports teams. Works extensively with local Singaporean schools with the annual schools and colleges tournament, which is the national championship for age groups under 14 to under 19. Secured and planned other fringe activities around the tournament which included the annual Schools Clinic.
