Supported by AMARTA-USAID, SCAI is a forum for all players in the specialty coffee industry to set up standard for good quality coffee. Manages overall operation of the organization including setting up business and financial planning, communicating with donors, finding the fund sources to sustain the operation, mobilizing members to be involved in quality improvement programs, and advocacy with the government. Develops network of specialty coffee stakeholders, including a combination of business, farmers, governments, research institutes and donor agencies. Advocates stakeholders issues related with policies and funding supports. Actively engages members through programs related to each category and to needs. Manages profitability and identifies funding sources for sustainability. Reviews coffee value chain to understand entire marketing process.
