Jan. 2012 - Jun. 2013Manage all aspects of new and legacy oil and gas agreements including, but not limited to: Joint Operating Agreements; Exploration Agreements; Purchase and Sales Agreements; Farmout Agreements; Farmin Agreements; Assignments; Assignments and Bill of Sales; Mergers & Acquisitions; Sublease Agreements; Unitization and Pooling Agreements; Consolidations; Coal Operating Agreement; Settlement Agreements; Operations Agreements and Cooperation Agreements. Management of these contractual relationships will include: preparation of agreements; entry and continued updating of contract records and reports such as executive summaries; assignment of operating rights and drilling commitments; Coordinate and clear EQT wells for plugging, abandonment or divestiture by reviewing, analyzing, summarizing, identifying and processing contractual requirements such as consent requirements, partner elections, preferential rights, and other potential obstacles such as identification of free or discounted gas consumers. Manage free and discounted gas consumers, including undertaking the approval process for new customers; transferring existing customer accounts; and, terminating accounts when appropriate; Research and analyze entitlement of free or reduced gas by reviewing and interpreting lease and ROW language, chain of title for free gas severance from lease, and individual state case law related to free gas rights; determining tract ownership through analysis of existing records and data including various state and county DEP sites, tax sites and recorder’s offices; internal mapping, deeds, conveyances, wills, etc. Assist the legal department with resolving disputes, lawsuits, mediation, arbitration, claims and demands by researching, analyzing and summarizing various oil and gas agreements, lease agreements, free gas agreements, etc. and participate in depositions and court proceedings when needed.
