Together, we build a platform that simplifies compliance with regulatory and governance requirements across the bank, reducing the complexity of deploying containerized microservices. Key Focus Areas: * Microservices & Docker Containers: Developing and managing scalable and efficient microservices. * APIs, Helm, & Kubernetes: Leveraging Helm and Rancher-managed Kubernetes for robust orchestration. * Azure DevOps: Supporting users with our Shared Pipeline Templates library to streamline the deployment process from repository to live environment. * Security & DevOps Practices: Shifting security left and promoting best DevOps practices across our teams and organization. I recently completed a rebuild of our health check platform using OpenFaaS and GoLang, deploying it on our Rancher-managed Kubernetes environment. This integrates with Opsgenie to provide robust alerting for all our shared services, including Redis, RabbitMQ, Service Fabric, self-hosted Azure DevOps build agents, a squid proxy for stabilizing our build agents, and the Elastic Stack. Our current mission involves merging with another team to create an intuitive, client-centric Interactive Developer Portal. This portal will empower teams to manage their clusters, autonomously request new clusters, and handle their projects in Azure DevOps and Tekton, as well as manage their package and container repositories in Artifactory. Our Goal: To build an end-to-end solution that enables teams to transition from proof of concept to deployed applications seamlessly. We aim to trail blaze patterns that overcome regulatory requirements, security audits, and cloud practices while adopting hybrid reliability strategies, maximizing value across the entire organization.
