Aug. 2014 - Jun. 2018Operate an agricultural cooperator program for the USDA Foreign Ag Service • Assist foreign countries to develop agricultural systems necessary to meet the fiber needs for its domestic consumption • Strengthen and enhance trade linkages between eligible countries and agricultural interests in the United States • Serve on the International Trade Advisory Committee – 7 (committee that provides advice and information to the United State Trade Representatives regarding issues on trade barriers and trade policy) • Manage multiple international marketing projects and foreign market development for China, Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia, Mexico and Latin/South America • Trade servicing – assisted US exporters in international business operations, seminars and trade shows • Trade policy – serve as focal point market entry and eliminating trade barriers • Created a campaign highlighting sustainable and environmental message of US forest products • Contribute to subject material and advertising to the SEC’s publications • Contribute to grant writing within the compliance of the USDA Foreign Agricultural programs • Seek new funding programs • Led semi-annual Board of Director meetings • Served as a liaison between federal and state trade organizations and industry representatives • Manage the USDA accounting according to federal compliance Program Management o Regularly review program goals and objectives with Executive Committee and related committees to ensure board objectives are prioritized. o Oversee all USDA program contracts (MAP, FMD, QSP, EMP) insuring consistency and accuracy in satisfying goals and objectives, fiscal responsibility, program outcomes, and reporting. o Assist and routinely evaluate all program cooperators in their progress towards goals and objectives on behalf of the council. o Maintain a database of exports for all major classes o Perform other duties as defined, modified, and delegated by the Executive Committee and/or Board of Directors.
