ACHIEVEMENTS TO DATE: 1. Drove delivery of all of Netcoins Staking products - https://www.netcoins.com/ca/staking/ Achievements: Garnered > $1M in ETH deposits staked within 2 days of product launch (10% of our Ethereum deposit base). Product launched on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023. Launched ATOM and SOL staking product on March 26th 2024 (shortened delivery from 5 months to 6 weeks) Netcoins is only one of 4 Canadian exchanges with a live staking product. This project had a ton of moving parts across stakeholders, from regulatory, to design, to financial reporting, data management, dashboards, marketing and customer success. 2. Led Figma wireframing, process mapping in Miro (logic) and requirement gathering for a new internal OTC Trading Desk for high value/institutional clients. OTC desk generated $21M in new trading volume in first 8 weeks release. Product released: Nov 2023. 3. Led a 5 month project to build a fully rebranded app for the US market (Dec. 2022). Managed 3 engineering teams delivering rebranding of all core user flows tied to Funding, Trading and Withdrawals. 4. Conceptualized a new feature called 'Instant ACH" to give our USA users instant access to their fiat deposits. Managed complex integration and risk mgmt of 4 new banking & fintech ecosystem API’s in the US. 5. Drove implementation of push notifications to improve user communications. The importance of this youth dividend cannot be ignored as the decisions of tomorrow increasingly lie with the youth of today. As international students on UBC campus, Malaika and I launched two unique initiatives (The Tanzania Heart Babies Project and African Business Forum) that shed light on the differing sides of Africa. Although aid has its merits, we believe that improved governance structures, Innovation hubs and Entrepreneurial ecosystems are more sustainable and long-term solutions to the challenges facing Africa's economies.
